 In recent years of Madden you were able to hold down the catch button to trigger catch animations. With this years Madden when triggering the spectacular catch animation, you can no longer hold down the catch button if you desire to trigger the animation consistently.

 This is a very unique animation that has been brought back to Madden 2012. If you notice your opponent in bump and run coverage or any other single man coverage with no safety help, it would be an opportune time to attempt this animation. Streak whichever wide receiver you think has the best chance at roasting the defensive back deep.

 If you have a great defense but you can’t seem to set it up in time, this concept will aid you in that. Hot blitzing is very simple, you can reblitz LB’s without having to do it manually by clicking on each defender. You are able to stunt your LB’s individually by using the RB button and the right analog.

 In order to tell if your opponent is in man or zone, you must pay attention immediately after the defenders break the huddle. If the defensive backs start at the sidelines and then shift in to line up in front of your tightly aligned wide receivers, they are in zone.
If the defenders line up in front of your wide receivers immediately, then they are in man coverage.

 When playing Madden at any competitive level, quickness of setup can prove to be a vital part of winning that game. When playing an opponent before the game begins you have to view you guys as even, then once the game begins it is a constant tug of war to get position on one another.

 EA Sports actually updates the rosters weekly, in regards to how the players actually do on Sunday. When your roster is then updated make sure you save it, to then later make changes to your favorite team to have it saved when you play your games.

 The way you must trigger this animation is by simply pass leading up on an out-route, then clicking on using the B or O button to gain user control of your WR. Once you have user control of your WR you must swivel your WR in a clockwise, if on the left side of the field and vice versa.

 One of the new features added to this years game was the “sneak” onside kick. The way you perform this kick is by still selecting normal kick off, but instead of starting the kick meter with the A button you must start it with the B button.
You want to aim for 70-75 in power and perfect accuracy. You can only use this sneak onside kick once per game, so use it wisely!

 The nice part about this concept is that you can jam a WR or TE at the start of the play to chip him off of his route, to later then peel off and guard another WR within your area.

 Once you have the correct personnel and in the correct spot, all that you have to do is hot route that player to a fade route. Once on the fade just tap the button and lob the ball. Your WR will come down with the ball on double coverage.
